Questions
Before you lace up.
Do the hikes start in Sarajevo?
Yes. We meet you in Sarajevo and drive to the start of the trail, and transport there and back is included in the price of every hike.
Is lunch included?
Yes — a picnic lunch on every hike, usually at the best spot of the day: the summit of Trebević, the foot of Skakavac waterfall, the village of Lukomir, or the shore of Trnovačko lake.
Can I book on my own?
Yes. Every hike can be booked for one person. On the Sutjeska trip to Trnovačko lake a solo traveller pays 190 € instead of 100 € per person; on the other hikes the price is the same however many of you there are.
How fit do I need to be?
It depends on the hike, so each one gives its distance and duration. The Lukomir hike is the longest, at about 16 km over 7–8 hours; Trebević is shorter but climbs about 700 metres to the summit.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes and a camera on every hike, and water on Trebević and Skakavac. Each hike’s page lists exactly what to pack.
