98 m the tallest waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Skakavac falls 98 metres, which makes it the tallest waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina — and this route shows it to you from both ends.
From the trailhead it is about five kilometres of gentle downhill to the foot of the falls, where we stop for a picnic lunch. After lunch we take a different trail: around three kilometres, uphill this time, which brings you out at the top of the waterfall for a completely different view of it.
The last two kilometres are flat gravel, back to where we started. It is about ten kilometres all told, most of the effort is in the one climb after lunch, and the whole day takes around five hours.
